Tomato Chicken

One of our favorite dining destination on weekends is to go to buffet restaurants in malls in the suburbs of the city. The reason why we love it so much is that in Indonesia every Saturday and Sunday is time to attend to lavish wedding parties with so many buffets to choose. Here, we don’t experiences that often so we miss the feeling. One of the dish that I like is tomato chicken. When cold it goes very delicious with salad and bread.

500 gr chicken leg
4 garlic cloves
½ medium onions
1 can diced tomato
2 tsp basil
3-5 Japanese soyu
a handful of ocra
3 carrots
1-2 tsp salt
1/2 tbs sugar

How to prepare:
-wash, rinse and drain the chicken legs
-slice the onion into thin pieces, set aside
-crush the garlic with the side of your knife, set aside
-cut the carrot and ocra into small pieces,set aside
-saute the onion and garlic
-add the chicken and fry for a while
-add the can tomato, basil, soyu, salt and sugar
-cook for 25 minutes
-add the carrots and cook for 5 minutes
-add the ocra and turn of the heat
