Fake Kopyor Coconut Drink


Makes 20 small glasses

There is a favorite Indonesia drink called es Kopyor, Kopyor is basically naturally defect coconut. While the normal coconut meat will be smooth, the Kopyor meat curdles making it more salty and savory. Due to the high demand, Indonesian researchers had found the way to genetic modified normal coconut to Kopyor coconut but not with toxic substance. These goodies can be very expensive for one glass.

Street sellers had found a way to make a fake es kopyor to sell for cheaper prices. If you are lucky, you will find a seller making it so well that it taste like the original ones but I guess it’s top secret recipe. I am giving you two optional water to place the fake coconut. If you like it light then just add with coconut water and if you want it more savory like the original one that make the coconut milk base water.

Ingredients:
-1 sachet agar/kanten
-200 ml coconut milk
-300 ml water
1 ½ tbs sugar
-1/2 tsp salt
-1 big ice block

Syrup:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 screwpine leaf

Water A:
2 can coconut water

Water B:
200 ml coconut milk
300 ml water
2 tbs sugar
½ tsp salt

Additionals:
ice blocks
sweetened condensed milk

How to prepare:
-add agar/kanten, coconut milk, water, sugar and salt, heat the pan
-stir well until cooked, let it cool off
-place the big ice block in a big bowl
-drip the coconut agar with a spoon little by little to the ice block, set aside
-Syrup: add the sugar, water and screwpine in a bowl, boil and cool off
-water B: add the coconut milk, water sugar and salt in a pan, let it boil until done, cool it off
-take the fake kopyor coconut from the bowl and add in water A or B

How to serve:
-place ice in cup
-add the fake kopyor coconut with the water
-add the syrup
-add the sweetened condensed milk
