Kinpira Gobo

kinpira gobo

Hectic, need a quick and healthy vegetable dish. This kinpira gobo will do the trick. I used a peeler to peel and julliened the carrots and gobo. Twisted it with a recipe from Everything was there except for the toasted sesame seed. Nobody likes it at home anyway.

2 cups of gobo (Japanese Burdock), julienned
2 cups of carrot, shred
1/2 tbs sugar
1 tbs mirin
2 tbs soyu
1 tbs sesame seed

How to prepare:

-heat pan and small amount of oil
-saute the gobo
-saute the carrot
-add sugar, mirin, soyu and sesame seed, mix gently
-turn of heat when cooked but still crunchy
