Pan Fried Steak with Honey Mustard Sauce

Today was a special day and needs a special dinner to go with. I wanted to make something simple but fancy this time. I had some steak in the fridge so I looked up for simple recipe. Martha Stewart’s Pan Fried Steak caught my attention. It looked marvelous and dead simple to prepare. The recipe also gives a link to a simple steak sauce to go with. I added honey and mustard in the sauce and it tasted great. Here is the recipe

Pan Fried Steak
Ingredients:

2 steak slice
a dash of salt
a dash of black pepper
2-3 tbs butter

How to prepare:
-marinate steak with salt and pepper for 5-10 minutes
-heat pan with butter
-fried on both side as you like, half or done

Honey Mustard Sauce
Ingredients:
1/3 cup liquid (wine, Cognac, Armagnac, Scotch, whiskey, vinegar, vermouth, red or white wine)
2 tablespoons thickener (butter, cream, creamy cheese, or mustard)
1-2 tsp mustard powder/sauce
1/2 tbs honey
1/2-1 tbs lemon juice

How to prepare:
-in the same pan for frying steak with some gravy
-add wine, Cognac, Armagnac, Scotch, whiskey, vinegar, vermouth, red or white wine
-add butter, cream, creamy cheese, or mustard
-add mustard and honey
-add lemon juice

How to serve:
-add the steak on the plate
-add sauteed assorted veggies
-add boiled long beans
-pour some sauce on top
