Sardines are abundance in the market and so cheap,this makes me really happy. My family loves sardines, well most of the time the canned tomato ones. It turns out that it taste superb and more sweet when you make it fresh. Very easy and quick to make. Yummy!
Ingredients:
5 fresh sardines
3 tbs salt
½ lemon (take the juice)
⅓ cup oil
½ can tomato puree
1 medium tomato (diced)
2 thin spring onions (chopped)
1 ½ tsp salt
How to prepare:
-clean the sardines and spread evenly the salt and lemon juice,set aside for 10 minutes
-heat pan with ⅓ cup oil
-fry the sardines until they are done on both sides
-pour the tomato puree
-add sugar
-add the fresh tomato
-add the chopped spring onions
-turn off heat when the spring onions are soggy
I wish we had fresh sardines here, but no luck just hard to find in China. Fresh ones are very lovely and so is your dish.

with this method, you can’t eat the bones. If you want to eat the bones, use the same recipe and cook it with pressure cooker
